How Our Network Works

Who you talk to

This page has no staff photos, because the people you speak with are independent tree providers. They run their own companies and make their own decisions. Ballarddesighs Tree Service is the front desk that connects you to them. Think of a phone book that also helps you pick the right page.

What happens on the call

You explain the situation in your own words. Where is the tree? How big is it? Is it leaning, cracked, or already down? Is anything close by, such as a roof, a fence, or a wire?

The provider may ask for a photo or ask to visit. After that, you can ask about timing and price. Schedules vary, so Request a callback to check provider availability.

What to ask a provider

A good question is like checking a ladder before you climb it. It costs little and it can prevent a lot. Here are a few worth asking:

• Will I get the quote in writing, and what does it include?
• Does the price cover cleanup, hauling, and the wood?
• Do you carry the licenses and insurance my area requires?
• Who will be on site, and how long might the job take?
• Can you help document damage if I need to file a claim?

Why the price moves

Tree work is priced by the job. In the U.S., small trees often cost a few hundred dollars to remove. Large, tall, or hard-to-reach trees can cost well into the thousands. Stump grinding is often a few hundred dollars, depending on size. These are typical ranges only. Height, nearby buildings, storm conditions, and access can all change the number. That is why a written quote matters.

You are in control

Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can compare quotes and take your time. You can say no. Ask before agreeing, and keep the quote in writing.
